I am blown away. That was the best speaking event I have ever heard! Thank you for completely changing how I see being a good parent and teaching my children. I want everyone to know and hear what you have shared!!!

Suzanne B., Speaking Event Attendee, “Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites!”

Greetings from Muscat on the Arabian Sea… Mohammed works in the field of professional development and in the past sponsored some of his teachers to attend your workshop. He said that when visiting one of his teachers recently, the teacher told him that the very best workshop he experienced was the one with you – and that he uses so many of the techniques you taught him and believes that has made him a much better teacher every day. Mohammed said that what was most amazing was that this fellow was using music in his classroom – very unusual here in Oman, particularly since that is a male teacher working in an all boys school. Being with you helped him to overcome his own cultural resistance and to improve his effectiveness. Understanding how devoted you are to your work- which is doing HIS work!- I wanted to let you know that your influence continues to ripple outwards and is having a positive impact in this corner of the world, far from your home. May these blessings return to you a hundred-fold, Marcia.

David Chojnacki, Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools

I just wanted to tell you again how very much I enjoyed the workshop on Tuesday. I have tried to use as many of the strategies as I can in each of my classes, and I can already tell such a difference. I am enjoying the class and the children are learning, plus having a great time as well. Also, on a personal note, 3 years ago my wonderful Dad committed suicide. He was 72. He was forced into retirement after years as a pipe fitter, had knee replacement surgery and two strokes. Needless to say he had lost his purpose…could not do the things he loved anymore. He lost his humor, and obviously his desire to live. I had always wondered why, and after hearing you, it all became so clear. My heart is at peace. Thank you.

Kathi Hensley, Attended Workshop at Polk County

I’m writing to let you know that I’ve been using some new brain-compatible strategies in my French classes (music, manipulatives, movement, similes, graphic organizers, and reciprocal teaching), and I’m seeing a real difference in the enthusiasm of my students… Students are veritably skipping out of my class, very animated and excited about what they just learned and practiced. I want to thank you for your very effective workshop! I’ve let other colleagues at other international schools know that if they ever come across your workshop, they should be sure to sign up!
